Geocache Description:

This cache is located just off the bluff trail at Florida Caverns. Please remember that this cache was hidden during the late fall and the weed growth at the time was minimimal. It may be thicker in the summer months. I gave it a 2 overall because its off the trail & very well hidden. I rated the terrain as a 3 due to the fact that there are rock steps, rocks, tree roots & its hilly. Also SLIPPERY WHEN WET!

This cache is located on one of my favorite state parks in Florida. There is a fee of $4.00 to enter the park. The park opens at 8 AM & closes at dusk. Its open 365 days a year.

You will park in the Visitor's Center parking lot. Follow the trail marked "Bluff Trail" until you reach the co-ordinates. The trailhead is in the far left hand side on the far end of the loop. It's not very far off the trail. But, it's very well hidden. Some stealth may be required as this is a well used trail. Feel free to walk the whole Bluff/Flood plain trail as the whole thing only takes about 25 or 30 min.

You are looking for a 1 gallon plastic mayonaise jar painted camo colors. It's loaded with goodies & some TB's.

While you are in the park take some time out to see the tour cave, it's gorgeous!!!! Tour prices are $8.00 for ages 13 & up, ages 3 to 12 are $5.00 and 2 & under get in free.

There are 2 other caches on the park (Florida Caverns, 2eth by land 1eth by sea), that you can look for.

I also have in the works another cache to put out very soon.

So stop by & make it a 3fer and enjoy an afternoon in the park.

Here is their website if you would like further information about the park: (visit link)
