Located in the Higbee's Beach WMA, Lower Twp., Cape May County.
This hide is the little brother (as if you can call a .30 cal. ammo can "little") of my three nearby ".50 Cal. Higbee" caches. Numbers were obtained by letting my GPSr average for 5 minutes at GZ with WAAS signals being received, but tree cover in the area of the cache is heavy so your numbers may vary somewhat. Be sure to pack your cache sense when you come looking for this! There is a hard way to reach this cache and a not-quite-as-hard way (I know this because I took both of them!), but whether you do some moderate pushing-branches-and-thorns-out-of-your-way bushwhacking or major exploring-the-heart-of-the-Amazon-hacking-through-trailless-forest bushwhacking will depend on the route you choose. It's worth the effort to find the not-quite-as-hard way to this hide; the hard way truly is hard! If your idea of a "great cache" is a Wal-Mart parking lot micro, I suggest you pass on this hide. (Please leave the pencil sharpener in the cache; it is not a trade item) Cache trivia: the ammo can you seek was formerly stage two of my now-archived "Leeds Point Natural Area" multi in Galloway Twp., Atlantic County. UPDATE, January 2008: Having read the adventures of those who have made the effort (and it does take effort!) to get to this cache, I've modified this hide's name to include the title of a critically-acclaimed movie currently in release. It seemed appropriate...;) Note: Be aware that most of the hike to this cache is through soft sand, which can tire you quickly in the heat. During summer, be sure you are hydrated before you begin and bring a couple of bottles of water with you. Sun screen and bug spray will be helpful, too!
