USFS 1506 -- take a short walk up a steep loose gravel/dirt slope. Watch your step, the rocks can cause you to slide
On our annual trip up the 1506 to try get to Lookout Trail
in the snow. This trail is special to us in that our son helped blaze it as a YCC project in 2001. He and I make a summer hike every year. And when the family gathers for Thanksgiving or Christmas we try it again.
(Have never made it but makes for a great day in the snow)
Anticipating success this year we had a cache already made up in case we made it to the top of the trail. Snow kept us from our goal -this columned rock wall caught our attention. Your looking for a camo' thermo jug.
