Short 4 Stage Multi along the Centennial Trail near Brush Creek.
This is a short 4 stage multi cache on or near Centennial Trail in Brush Creek (approximatly 1.75 miles round trip). This cache was placed by 3 cousins (E, L and K) over the Thanksgiving Holiday in 2007. The caches are kid friendly, but well camouflaged and hidden. There is little need to bushwhack to find these caches, please stay on the established trails as long as possible. Additionally, you will be required to cross the creek multiple times along the trail.
Please note - while we placed this cache in November with snow on the ground, we tried to avoid placing the caches in areas we saw poison ivy berries, but with the snow we could have missed some plants that will be there in the spring.
The posted cache coordinates are for stage one of the multi. Please note the parking way point. To get to the parking area, turn off of Hwy 385 on Victoria Lake Rd. Follow the road down through a meadow to the very back and turn left and cross the meadow down a service road. This will take you to the parking coordinates, once there follow the established trail to Stage 1 (posted coordinates).
The Stage 1 waypoint container is a cammo'd mint tin that contains the coordinates to Stage 2. The Stage 2 waypoint container is a fake rock that contains the coordinates to Stage 3. The Stage 3 waypoint container is a small cammo'd mint tin that contains the coordinates to the final cache.
*** Please note - due to snow, the original Stage 1 container is extremely difficult to find. As a result, we have placed an alternate Stage 1 container at a different set of coordinates as identified in waypoint S1. ***
The Final Cache container is an ammo can that is well hidden. The original Cache contents are the Log Book, 2 Geo Pens, 4 Rings, 4 Erasers, 4 Mini Bubbles, 2 Snakes, 2 Dinosaurs, 2 Pencils, 2 #1 Medals, a pack of Baseball and Football Cards, a Super Bouncy Ball, a Slinky Jr, Diabetes TB, MO Hawthorn Geocoin and a Red Jeep TB.
Please enjoy the cache and return the cache containers back to the position they were found in. If any of the containers look out of place, please let us know and the families of the E.L.K. Cousins will make sure they are where they are supposed to be.
