Donner Lake View Traditional Cache

Donner Summit. A 30 to 45 min walk/hike from Hwy 40 up into the rocks off part of the Pacific Crest Trail.
Park at the Sugar Bowl Ski Academy, and start at the Pacific Crest Trail trailhead. At the second group of trees you pass through, turn left, uphill, along the stream bed, roughly in the direction of the overhead power lines. When you level out on the saddle, you are nearly there. Requires traversing over large rocks, but not really difficult. A beautiful area.
This is a kid's cache, but with great views of Donner Lake. A real photo op!
