Geocache Description:

This is a traditional cache with good access. Take your time and enjoy a bit of nature while on your hunt.

The Story
"Ahoy, me hearties!” In these parts a merry yarn has been told of a stolen treasure belonging to ye ol’ Captain Blackbeard. The stolen loot made its way from Taylor’s Creek in Beaufort to Summerfield! It was said that 3 angry crewmen stole the mighty riches one eve and made their way to the Piedmont. They had to quickly place the treasure amongst the trees and where muggles play and vowed to come back and split the goods on the next blue moon at midnight. Water is near so stay steady on the shore when you are on your search.

*This is an easy family friendly cache in Summerfield Community Park. The cache is an ammo box containing the treasures. Plan to anchor awhile, sign the log and enjoy the sights. Everyone is welcome to take something from the sea(shells or sharks teeth), but if you desire to take some of the other riches (trinkets or toys), replace it with another or’ the crew might notice the box is slight….Arrrghhhh, Gotta Go!
