Secret Shrine Surprise Traditional Cache

Years ago, what is now the Kane County Government Center was once a Catholic Seminary. And unbeknown to many residents, there is a fantastic stone shrine hidden in the woods on the property. The shrine is ornately made out of many different colored stones and is quite possibly one of the most curious and unexpected sights around here. I hope you will enjoy its discovery as much as we did.
Both shrine and cache are located at the end of a great trail through the woods that begins around 41.8791 and -88.309... the south end of the front parking lot. This is by far the recommended route. The trail is not terribly difficult and there are footbridges where it crosses the creek, though you can choose to cross via fallen log if you're feeling more adventurous. Once you get to the shrine, you'll know it for it's not easily missed. ;)
The cache is a brown glass bottle with a small logbook inside and some fun treasures for the trading. Please enjoy!
