The Swinging Bridge Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MissTerri: I came out here today to check on the cache and sure enough it has gone missing. I think it's best to archive this one seeing as how there is a letterbox just mere inches from where we hid our cache, I don't know how we missed that one. Thanks to all who came out here, Warriorrider.

Geocache Description:

The Swinging Bridge as it is often refered to is actually the Foresthill/Colfax bridge located along scenic Yankee Jims Rd. It is also known as the Yankee Jims Bridge. The bridge built in 1930 is a suspension bridge. The area is really cool with lots of mining history. This is also a local spot for kayakers during the right time of year. This is also a local hangout in the summer months with plenty of great swimming and hiking opportunities.

You will be looking for an ammo can.

As with any dirt road there is always a chance that it may be temporarily closed during periods of heavy rain, snow, or due to erosion during the winter months.

Please log your find or no find online so I will know how the cache is doing. If you feel my coordinates are off please post your coordinates with your log, so that I can make any necessary adjustments.

UPDATE: Apparently there is a letterbox nearby that we were not aware of when we hid this cache. If you did not find an ammo can then you most likely found the letterbox. Our cache IS an ammo can!
