B.O.S.N.: MarshallOD and I placed this cache nearly nine years ago. In that time, just 14 visits. The cache looked as good as the day we placed it. [:)] Thanks to all who visited and enjoyed this pretty spot in the Sierras.

Geocache Description:

If you've never visited Junction Reservoir before, this is your chance!

It's very similar to Slab Creek Reservoir in its design, but much easier to get to and just as picturesque. There's an easy walk from the gate to the cache along a 1/1.5 terrain rating road, followed by a very short scramble over some rocks to the cache. If you want an additional aerobic workout, you can descend and then ascend 189 steps to the river bottom. Please note the warning sign that you do so at your own risk, due to the potential of sudden water flows.

Kayakers, boaters: there is a small dirt boat ramp at the reservoir if you wish to fish or paddle among the narrow reaches.
