Geocache Description:

This is a cache that will give your mind as well as your body some exercise!

To find this cache you will first have to solve a few riddles and then collect some information from a couple different locations.

Riddle #1 As long as I eat, I live. When I drink, I die.

Riddle #2 A cloud was my mother, the wind is my father, my son is the cool stream, and my daughter is the fruit of the land. A rainbow is my bed, the earth my final resting place. What am I?

Once you have solved the riddles you will need to travel to your first location N45.40.117' by W121.53.734'. When you arrive you will notice a steam engine with a heritage marker in front of it.

1) What is the name of the steam engine?

2) what is the date it was first put in service?

3) In what year was it moved to the Dalles to transport settlers past Celilo falls?

4) How many years did the engine provide service in the gorge before being taken to SanFrancisco?

Next you will need to travel to N45.38.282' by W121.58.548'.
At this location you will see a heritage marker titled (Skin of a wild sheep). Note the date on the bottom of the marker.
Now you will need to walk westerly a few hundred feet to the N Bonneville post office. Once inside note the President the post office was dedicated to, and the year it was dedicated!

Now the fun part:

Final coordinates: N45.XX.YYY' by W121.AB.CDE'

XX= The year the steam engine was moved to the Dalles less the year posted on the bottom of the marker titled (Skin of a wild sheep) less 20. or _____-_____-20

YYY= The year the N Bonneville post office was dedicated plus the year the steam engine was first put in service plus the sum of 6 divided by the total number of years the engine was used in the gorge before being taken to SanFrancisco less 165. or ((_____+_____+6)/__)-165

A= The second letter in the answer to the first riddle.

B= The second letter in the animal the engine was named for.

C= The second letter in the last name of the president the post office was dedicated to.

D= The first letter in the last name of the president the post office was dedicated to.

E= the last letter in the answer to the second riddle.
