NOTE VENUE CHANGE: A educational cache event at Garlic Jims Pizza in West Salem from 2-4PM.
I thought it would be great to setup a shared learning forum for people who like to do paperless caching. I started geocaching in Jan. 2007. I have co-workers that have cached longer than I, but I have been asked by many people how I do paperless caching.
The plans are to
1) Show how I use GSAK and some tricks
2) Show how to use CacheMate on a Palm (if people have PocketPC, please help me show how to use it)
3) Open it up to other cachers to show their tricks of the trade
4) Trade/Discover trackable table
5) General socializing & DOOR PRIZES!!
ATTENTION MAC OWNERS: I'm not savvy on MAC's, if there is someone who can help me setup up a demo for MAC owners, please let me know!
Bring your laptops if you wish, but not sure if wireless is available or not.
There are several caches nearby in West Salem (one just a couple a hundred feet away. It might be fun for a group to cache before or after the event.
There is plenty of parking available for the pizza place.
