Geocache Description:

For the time being, please use the poem here and enjoy the bell from afar.

The homeless seem to be using it as a shelter.

This is a multi located in a park with a unique view of Pearl Harbor. Don’t forget to take a walk down the path to get a close up view of the harbor and Ford Island. This was also the site of the attacks on December 7th. You can still see the control tower from World War II and also the new bridge built to connect to the main island. Remember when you had to use a ferry to reach the island?

The above coordinates will take you to a bell that has historic meaning. There is a poem there that you will need to look at in order to solve a puzzle to take you the final stage. Final stage is a small container with logbook and pen with a FTF prize.

Beware that the park is closed from 10pm – 5am. Also keep an eye out for the homeless problem in the area.

Let us first discuss some clues to solving the puzzle to get to the final. The poem will be your key to success. There are two variables which we will call X and Y. X represents the amount you will add to the latitude (North) in decimal minutes. Y represents the amount you will add to the longitude (West) in decimal minutes. Remember don't count the Title and the Author as a line.

X = [(# of words in the first line) + (# of words in the last line) + (# of times “peace” appears)] x (# of times “war” appears)

Y = [(# of lines in the poem) x (# of letters in the authors name)] - (# of words in 13th line)

So there you have it. Don’t forget to enjoy the views of the historic Pearl Harbor and Ford Island!
