I, Nanuk, have been honored by GeocacheAlaska! by being featured on the
2008 Alaska geocoin. I, Nanuk, was given one of the first
completed coins and wish to pass it on to a deserving Alaskan
cacher before the coins are available worldwide via online
sales. Cachers who miss being the FTF will get
another chance to obtain coins at the hOlly jOLLY hOLIDaY
pArty, in Anchorage on December 6,
2007.

To find the coin, you must first pay tribute to some of my many
genus Ursus relatives scattered around Anchorage. Don't
worry, none of these characters will bite, but I do have cousins in
the woods who may not be as accommodating even though they should
be fast asleep this time of year.
The location of the cache is:
N 6A°
BC.DEF' W
1GH° IJ.KLM'
To determine the cache's location, go to the waypoints listed on
this cache page and match each waypoint with one of the pictures
below. Then substitute the number below the picture for
the letter in the location listed above. Some of the scenes
pictured can be viewed from a car while others will require looking
around a little bit. All bears are available twenty-four
hours a day seven days a week except for the one that you couldn't
touch anyway. Happy hunting!
This cache was inspired by "A Tour of Downtown," (GCPZPB), in Tulsa,
Oklahoma, placed by yogiabb, who had been inspired by a similar
cache in Las Colinas, Texas, called "The Royal Tour."
