Located at the La Reconnaissance Estate in the quiet village of Lopinot.
Turn off the Eastern Main Road at the Lopinot Road sign at Arouca. Co-ordinate N10 38.030 W61 20.152. Drive north and follow the signs Lopinot historical site.
You can park your vehicle at the parking area next to the community center at co-ordinate N10 41.516 W61 19.465.
Lopinot village is named after the Compte de Lopinot who settled here in 1806. There is a museum on the site of the estate, which is open daily from 6am to 6pm and free of charge. You may sign the guestbook inside the estate house.
Located in a beautiful valley in the northern range, Lopinot village is known for Parang (Trinidad's christmas music). There are also limestone caves in the surrounding area that can be explored with the help of a guide.
There is a picnic area close to the river, at co-ordinate N10 41.573 W61 19.352
The cache is hidden nearby and is in a plastic container which is inside a clear plastic zip-lock bag. The cache is camouflaged from direct view. Please pay regular caution when searching for the cache, do not destroy any nature and do not litter. Keep T&T beautiful!
