Sam The Snowman is the narrator of the story, Rudolph the
Red–Nosed Reindeer.
Sam is the first character we meet. He holds a green umbrella,
and opens it when he tells about the abominable snowmonster.
Throughout the movie, Sam sings songs that became almost as classic
as the film itself, a few being "Silver and Gold" and "Holly Jolly
Christmas",which has since become a Christmas standards in its own
right.
