Geocache Description:

Effervescent Container hidden along the boardwalk at the lower end of Port Elizabeth.

Please bring own pen!

There is a long boardwalk along the lower end of PortElizabeth, allowing the older generation nice, easy, and peaceful strolls along the beach.
There was even a gentleman in a wheelchair who I helped up on of the steeper boarwalks.

The cache is hidden on/in this walkway.

A wheelchair will be able to get to within 5cm of the cache, although an able bodied person would need to get the container. Although the cache is in plane sight (when you are standing in the correct location…) you will have to keep your eyes wide open for this one since it is extremely good camouflaged!

When replacing the container, place it in precisely the same position as you found it!.

Some history on the cache name.
The original name of the cache "Joshua's Seagull Junction" is as follows:
Joshua is a cousin of the DamhuisClan in P.E. and he thoroughly enjoyed doing the geocaches with us in the area. As we walked along the walkway we got to a junction as a few seagulls flew overhead. That is where the name came from, and it had a nice ring to it.
Since then it was muggled or lost, and it was replaced further up the boardwalk by another family member, as it was felt to be a little unsafe at the original location.
So now the "junction" portion of the cache has no relevance any more.
