yurtles: The time to archive this one has come. This is the second time there has been trouble with it, no question that it is missing now. We had fun setting this out and appreciate all the nice logs, many thanks. It has been a good 7 year run, time to make room for some one else to place a cache in the area. Geocache Description:


This cache is for the birds ... the birds who provide such a joyous accompaniment to our caching adventures.

The given coordinates are for parking at the Spencer Crest Nature Center, a fine place to see, hear, and learn more about birds.

The cache coordinates are:

N42 06.ABC W077 04.DEF

A = nuthatch plus bluejay
B = cardinal plus chickadee
C = red-winged blackbird plus cardinal
D = nuthatch plus red-winged blackbird
E = bluejay minus cardinal
F = chickadee minus robin

Now for the fun! Listen to each bird song and identify which of the six birds - bluejay, cardinal, chickadee, nuthatch, red-winged blackbird, or robin - is the singer. Note that the name of each bird song is a number; if, for example, a cardinal sings song "one," then cardinal is 1 in the above equations.
