This cache has been archived.

Nomex: Hi
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, [RED]and assuming it still meets the guidelines[/RED], we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Don't hesitate to email me via the link on my Profile if you have any questions. [red]Please be sure to include the cache name and GC Code, or better yet, the URL of the cache page.[/red]

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

Animatronic cows - in Livermore? (Cache needs to be updated - please check back in a few weeks)

This is an area that is rumored to have originally been designated to BART for a Livermore BART station. Despite paying for BART through taxes for many years, Livermore has No BART station. This has become an area where many cows graze. The cache name comes from my son. When he first saw these cows, he noticed that each day they were in the exact same location. He came up with a great story:

The cows are actually animatronics placed there by space aliens to collect data on humans and mark the landing spot for a future alien invasion. Because they are really robotic cows, my son nick-named them the “RoboCows”. At first there was just one, then after a few months there was a second. He claimed that the aliens realized that a single RoboCow wouldn’t fool anyone so they had to make it look good – that’s why they added the second. Well we’re now up to seven RoboCows. See if they are all around when you visit.

NOTE 1:Many people have claimed that "there were no cows around today." However, the cows live in this field and can't get out unless beamed up by the mother ship... so look carefully - it's almost a cache within a cache!

NOTE 2:A few people have reported a police car nearby. This is because there is a truck scale on the other side of the fence near the freeway. The car is there whenever the scales are open. Don't worry - they don't care about you - unless you pull up in an 18 wheeler!

The cache initially contains:
Two travel bugs (Su the Cow), and one (Bodie the sail boat)
One cow mask
One cow piggy bank
One cow blanket
That’s all we could pack into the cache or it wouldn’t close!

We hope you enjoy the area. If you are there on a Saturday check out the quarter-midget racing nearby.
