A full size cache in a downtown setting, this cache is easy to get to. My first cache in Gainesville.
This site is quite historical. The remains you see is the first synagogue built in Gainesville. The nearby restaurant was the home of Gainesville's first "fast food" restaurant, too.
The site is owned by a good friend of mine. Shooting Stars have played a great role in her life and hence the name.
Shooting stars, asteroids, and the movement of the heavenly bodies in the night sky have always been a fascination to humans. Some cultures have always had strong beliefs and superstitions in the meaning of shooting stars. Traditionally, shooting stars also meant a new birth and changes in one’s life and also a wish for a better life. Others say the Shooting Star symbolizes good luck and fortune – make a wish on a shooting star and it will come true.
Great place to swap travel bugs and other trade items. You'll find the local businesses are all friendly towards geocachers. There is a tasty treat for the First to Find!
