Geocache Description:

The cache is located just off the Baden Powell Trail near the base of Mount Seymour. Access is via a well maintained trail, though the last 20 metres involves some scrambling.

This is the first of a series of geocaches planned by the Dunbar Heights 25th Venturers. This Venturer Company is located in the Pacific Spirit Area of the Pacific Coast Council, hence the name of the cache. We intend to establish a series of caches around the province in areas where we meet, camp and have regular outings.

This being the first of our caches, we thought what better place than on the trail named after the founder of the Scouting movement, Lord Baden Powell. The Baden Powell Trail is an excellent hike from Deep Cove to Horseshoe Bay. We have completed it with our Scouts in a number of stages. This stage, from Deep Cove to Lynn Canyon, has many beautiful views.

The posted coordinates are for "White's" structure. The actual cache is located 20 metres from the structure on an approximate bearing of ESE. Satellite reception is a bit variable approaching the site, though there is a relatively good view of the sky and a decent GPS signal at the site.

The cache is a one litre Ziploc screwtop container.
