JOE Exit 16E- Need Some Gas? Traditional Cache

The JOE cache series was started by altosaxplayer, a member of the Tri-Cities Geocachers. The name JOE means "Just Off Exit". The series was started as an Interstate 81 equivalent to the "Loop to Loop" cache series that was started in Nashville TN by cgeek. The JOE caches are placed no more than two tenths of a mile from the exit and the hint is a dead give away to the cache location. JOE caches are an easy way to pick up more cache finds while traveling.

We grabbed some JOE caches while visiting the Scrubs Grandparents in VA and thought they were a great idea. When planning our trips we always struggle with which caches really will be quick grabs and which may end as disasters and getting lost in an unfamiliar city. This cache is meant as a super quick grab for those traveling through the area and a nice fast smiley for those that already live here. You literally do not even have to get out of the car for this cache if you approach it right.
