Myrhøj - og Uhrehøje plantager
Geologisk er området hvor plantagerne ligger, dannet i slutningen af istiden et såkaldt randmoranestrøg.
Jordbunden i plantagerne er stærkt sandet. Dette bevirkede at flyvesand ødelagde adskillige marker i Strandby - og Farsø sogne.
Plantagerne blev løbende tilplantet i årene 1919 – 1951 efterhånden som kommunen erhvervede arealerne.
I Uhrehøje plantage ligger 20 fredede gravhøje. Der er foretaget adskillige fund i området fra gammel tid.
På Vesthimmerlands Museum i Aars er udstillet mere end 400 bronzestykker bla. af to tyrefigurer og fire andefigurer.
Tyren har tilsyneladende spillet en stor rolle i tiden omkring Kristi fødsel, idet der også er en tyr afbildet i bunden af Gundestrupkarret,
der er fra samme periode.

En himmelsk, himmerlandsk plads i område med flere vandreruter.

Ved pladsen forefindes 3 shelters, bålplads, ”wc” og vand fra pumpe.

Myrhoej- and Uhrehoej orchard Geologically, the area where the orchards is, originated at the end of the ice age.
The soil in the orchards is heavily sandet, which was the reason,
that several fields in Strandby and Farsoe parish' was ruined.
The orchard was continuously planted through the years of 1919 - 1951, as the city acquired the acreages.
In Uhrehoej orchard lies 20 protected burial mounds. There has been several finds in the area from old time.
At the West Himmerland Museum in Aars, there is more than 400 bronze pieces, among these, two bulls and four ducks.
The bull has apparently played a big roll in the time around the birth of Christ,
since there is also a bull illustrated at the bottom of the Gundestrup Bowl.
