Blaauwkrantz Railway Bridge Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ROTSIP: No response from owner who has been inactive for almost a year.
This cache does not appear to be viable, and it seems unlikely that it will be replaced soon, so I'm archiving it.
If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email, quoting the GC number), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Thanks for the past fun.

Geocache Description:

This is the site of the rail disaster of Saturday 22 April 1911.

Take the Martindale turnoff. Travel about 3km on good gravel. Suggest parking at S 33 21.359' E 026 42.918'. This is a disused railway line and is rather difficult to find as the road has covered it. Walk 450 meters along the old line to the bridge.

In the cache is a log book, pencil, Tweety bird, tape measure, key ring and TB

See if you can spot the Rabbit Bush from the tar road en route to Grahamstown.
