Geocache Description:

Some food, some beer and a Pub Quiz!

All at the lovely Swan Inn at Winwick...

The Swan is a cosy pub set in the village of Winwick, with real ale, real fires and decent food. Winwick is really easy to get to, being near both the M6 and M62.

I have booked the atmospheric "40s Room" for our exclusive use, from 7pm. Once we have had some food I will be hosting a pub quiz which all are welcome to take part in. There will be a series of rounds on different subjects, including questions on geocaching and the great British outdoors! The quiz will start around 8.30 and should go on for no more than 2 hours. The quiz will be done in teams of no more than 4 people. Anyone coming on their own can easily be fixed up with a team on the night.

Not only do you have the chance to show your encyclopaedic knowledge in front of your fellow cachers, you may also earn yourself a prize.

Please would anyone who wants to eat at the Swan before the quiz let me know in their logs before Monday 14th January as the pub would like to know approximate numbers for food in advance. Prices start at about £6.50 for a main course.

If anyone would like to stay over there is a Premier Inn right next to the pub.
