I consider this a “lost Place” but I’ll let you cachers decide.
There are two approaches to this one, both are beautiful, but I
recommend exploring the whole distance if you can for the
experience. The long approach from the Dallas Nature Preserve is
less strenuous but misses a fascinating little stretch.
The name for this cache was going to be “The Joshua Tree” (after
the song by U2) until I realized it was not a good fit. Therefore,
I named this cache after my late wife as she had cut Bono’s hair
when she was a hair stylist in Dublin.
We have a perfect view of the tree from the deck in our back
yard. Paula & I spent many lovely afternoons watching the
red-tailed hawk which lived in it fly to and from. I see the tree
now every day and it brings me fond memories, therefore I placed
this cache.
