A match container in one of the many beautiful squares in Historic
Downtown Savannah.
Bring a pen because there's no room in this cache for a
writing implement.
Columbia Square features the "Wormsloe Fountain," added to the
square in 1970 to honor the DeRenne family. The square is directly
across the street from the Kehoe House Inn. This exquisitely
restored 1892 Renaissance Revival mansion in Savannah’s Historic
District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places,
features 13 original guest rooms and amenities that include daily
cooked-to-order breakfast and afternoon tea. Oh yeah, its rumored
to be haunted as well. Another item of interest on this square
includes the Davenport House, saved in 1955 when seven local women
started a movement that later became the Historic Savannah
Foundation.
