Geocache Description:

The posted coordinates are to the main parking area.

Many THANKS to the folks at the Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center for the use of their fine facility. The size and the audio/video is just what was needed for this record turn out of 100 attendees. Special THANKS to 'Brian' for his special arrangements of the facility and extra efforts in reviewing 4 Geocaches that were placed in short order in time for everyone to enjoy.

Come attend this info packed meeting of the Georgia Geocachers Association and see this newest park addition to Gwinnett County and discover this unique place for science and nature, environmental education, passive recreation, and cultural exploration!  The Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center.

We will be meeting in a lower level class room of the main facility Starting at 2 P.M until 4 P.M.   So enter through the main doors and turn left immediately and follow the signs.   Access to the classroom is free, access to the rest of the facility requires a fee.  See fee schedule - Admission Fees

The program will include demonstrations on the tools of our Geo-trade.   Did anyone get a new Geo-toy in their stocking recently?   Demonstrations from both the hardware and software perspectives will be given.   You'll very likely see something that will be useful to use in your Geocaching quests.

We'll also have Bonny Putney on the program from Rivers Alive to speak about that organization and what they do.   You may have seen her in some local news spots recently cleaning up our shrinking Lake Lanier.

You'll also get to meet re-elected Greg or 'mtn-man' and the newest members to the GGA Steering Committee:Stephanie of 'ParentsofSAM' and Tom or 'GA Cacher'.

After the meeting join in on a group tour of the Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center FREE to the GGA meeting attendees.
