Geocache Description:

This part of the coast is amazingly beautiful in a rugged sort of way. We have been coming here every Christmas for more than 30 years and it really hasn’t changed that much. Just 1.5 hrs from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and you may as well be 1,500 km away in a remote and desolate spot.

Originally there was a kiwideb cache placed in 2004 around here called “Surfs Up” which lasted less than a year, so it is now time to bring cachers back to this fantastic area.

1. Boat Ramp S38° 40.435 E145° 36.996 (the posted co-ords)

From this vantage spot you can see the extremely basic beach-launching ramp. This is the scene where pprass launched their boat on numerous occasions and got into trouble on a couple of occasions.

What is the area/beach no. = AB

2. Rocky Lookout S38° 40.547, E145° 36.914

How many words are on the nearby sign = C

3. Surf Beach Lookout S38° 40.570, E145° 36.592 (this is where kiwideb’s “Surf’s Up” cache was placed)
Ahh – such a magnificent surf beach when the swells are just right. We used to boogie board from 50m-60m out and ride right upto the shore racing the kids.

What is the area/beach no. = DE

The Cache location is as follows and will take you on a track that leads to another surf beach that is not as well known, but magnificent:

S 38° 40.UVW E 145° 36.XYZ
Where U = B - A, V = (C + E)/2 and W = C - 2
And
Where X = E/2, Y = B and Z = C - 4

Hope you enjoy the scenery and please recreate the cache scene just as you found it so that others can discover what you have.
