Geocache Description:

This cache offers another history lesson for this beautiful location.

While visiting the nearby Visitor's Center at Battle Rock take note of the story of the Cottoneva. This is a smaller camo'd plastic container with a log book and the usual trading items. Stealth may be required, as this place can get very busy, especially during the summer months. Also of note - there is a small patch of gorse near the cache - it is NOT in the gorse.

Taz grew up in Port Orford and thinks Battle Rock and all of its history is one of the most interesting places on the Coast.

**Don't try to access this one from the highway!**
