Geocache Description:

Grab this micro and then stop to visit the nearby memorial to the 1960 Mustang football team.

Note: There is no need to go near the train tracks for this one. If your GPSr leads you anywhere near the tracks, you're on the wrong side of the street! Keep in mind that the railroad is serious about tresspassing!

This micro is an excuse to come and visit the 1960 Cal Poly football team's memorial plaza. It isn't hidden in the plaza proper, but take a second to check it out while you are there. The cache is available 7x24, except probably not when there is a major event going on at the stadium (football, soccer, graduation).

It is a log-only nano cache, so bring your own pen. The original hiding place was removed as part of some work in this area, but the cache is still at the same coordinates, you just don't need to be a tall person to get it any longer.

Parking is limited and pay-to-park. I *think* parking is enforced Monday-Friday 24-hours and not on weekends. Read the signs and make your own call. Most of this is marked as Staff parking and the rest is metered. There is free street parking a few blocks down on California.

It would also be a great one to bicycle to.
