Have updated the cache for the new time on the watch, should be good to go. First person to find after this posting should give me some feed back on difficulty with formula and finding the cache. This sculpture located at the listed coordinates on the Monon Trail in Carmel is in honor of everyone’s first bicycle ride. That first ride is a life changing event and nothing is ever the same thereafter. How appropriate to have a sculpture along the Monon Trail to commemorate this passage of life. Remember back to that wonderful feeling of freedom gained and the anticipation of new adventures awaiting us in our now expanded world as a result of that first bicycle ride. Some of us never lose that spirit, some of us lose it and regain it years later, and some never do. If you are in the later group I hope that this might inspire you to once again take a First Ride, whether it is by bicycle or some other mode of adventure. It reminds me of my guiding principle of life: “Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming… “Wow! What a ride!’’ Do to very heavy muggler traffic and especially in the summer this is a multiple cache. The first coordinates will take you to the actual sculpture. Enjoy the memories and than determine the time of this first ride which you’ll use to find the second location and actual placing of the cache.
The actual cache is located at: N 39° 58. ABC and W 086° 07.DEF; just a short walk from the actual sculpture. Only use numbers associated with the gold minute marks on the watch face. Read the watch as if you were the one wearing it. Finally, assume the first hand is the hour hand and the second hand is the minutes hand.
A = The hour of the first ride plus 4
B = The second digit in the minutes indicated on the watch (NOT the number it's pointing at)
C = The hour of the first ride - 1.
D = READ CAREFULLY. The number associated with the minutes of the first ride.
E = The two numbers of the indicated minutes hand added together.
F = The hour of the first ride.
