A traditional cache hidden at beautiful Napenape beach on the North Canterbury coast.
Napenape is a beautiful wild beach on the East Coast of the South Island featuring magnificient white cliffs, bizarre rock formations and one of the few remaining remnants of original lowland forest in North Canterbury, now closed for camping it is a magical place for a day trip.
27km from Cheviot township, turn off to Hurunui Mouth opposite Mainline Station Cafe at Domett, at Hurunui Mouth turn right over cool suspension bridge and follow road to Napenape. From Christhchurch there is a sign-posted turnoff about 10km North of Greta Valley. Both routes include unsealed roads but suitable for all vehicles.
