Geocache Description:

The galvanized stanchions that support the safety chain hand-rail could use a little maintenance, but are still strong enough to do the job. The vines and weeds are overgrown and in some places make progress up and down the stairs a challenge. Please, be careful and pay close attention while moving up and down the stairway.

Circa 1956, United States Navy Seabees deployed to Guam, began the construction of the 177 steps that make up the Stairwell to Heaven in East Agana. From this vantage point you have an unobstructed view of the beach below and all the way to the horizon. CITO will go a long way to help us maintain this site clean and safe for all to enjoy.
