Geocache Description:

Go for the gold to commemorate Bici Babe's parents' 1000th cache find. Yay, Chief Charlie and Happy Feat!

Experience some Carlsbad history. Begin near the first permanent building of Eddy County at its current location. Ample parking. N 32° 26.699’ W 104° 15.480’

Notice the world's former largest monolithic concrete structure spanning the Pecos River.

Walk up path to top and start looking. It's to your left - stay out of the canal on your right! No need to clamber over rocks and down the hill. You can access from on top. Signal bounces around which is partially why this is a 3.

Use caution--desert plants and critters.

***Beware of muggles--even at night--as the area is well lit. Please rehide securely where you found it.

First container here was a gold ammo can that was muggled. Second cache container was washed away. Third cache container (micro) was muggled. Replaced with micro in slightly different spot.
