This cache was adopted by golf gunny and now Caching Corbs...it is still fully active and ready for your hunting pleasure! Small ammo box with various items we've collected during our time in Okinawa. Easy walk up to the cache, and a nice little place for the kiddos to run around or kick a soccer ball. There's also a nice play area in the lower area of the park complex.
This park is on the ruins of Kyan Castle ("gusuku" in Japanese). BadKat has tried to find more information, but even the area where the ruins are is a mystery. A lot of construction has been done here since we arrived in 2002. This cache wasn't an attempt to be clever or mysterious. It wasn't an attempt to see how many cuts or bruises you could get. And it wasn't an attempt at finding the worst "razor palm" to hide a microscopic tube in. We just wanted to add our part to a great activity. The best part about this hobby is the fact that coordinates can you get you to a wonderful place when someone's directions may not succeed. It's not the fanciest park on the island, but it's out of the way, it's near a couple of decent eateries (Gajumaru across the street, and Toride near the intersection of Routes 8 and 75), and it's quiet.
