Geocache Description:

This cache is located in San Juan County off Highway 95 and into the Cottonwood Wash Area. Follow the Cottonwood Wash Road until you reach County Road 274 and follow until you get to the mine opening.

This is a black decon container hanging in a tree and there are some trade items. The road after a while will get a little rougher. If you have a high profile vehicle you will have no problem otherwise you will want to hike in a short distance.

The mine opening (N37 35.607 W109 36.442) does have a barred gate so no one can enter. This area has many mines and if you follow some of the side roads you will actually find some. Please watch you children closely!

You will want to bring water because it can get hot and this area is primitive.

Have fun in San Juan County!
