Another quick find along the Old Stage Road.
This was the location of a Dgreno cache, Gateway to Pancakes GCQRH8 (it's been archived), and I thought it could use a cache again. When I came by to get the Gateway cache I could not find it and shortly after it had been archived.
While on a walk from Summit Rd. in Mill Valley to the end of Steep Ravine Trail at Slide Ranch, I was showing this spot to Sdarken and Geojammers. Niether one payed me much attention as I searched around and when Sdarken lost all interest I hid a new cache.
This is indeed the Gateway to the Pancake Breakfast at the West Point Inn. I recommend it for all ages and my 3 year old daughter made the trip twice. I like to park at the Bootjack parking lot and walk up to the Old Stage Rd. Once you find the cache you can continue along the fire road until you arrive at the West Point Inn. After you enjoy your pancakes, you can either return on the same fire road or take the less congested Matt Davis Trail back to the parking lot.
The cache is a medium size tupperware container with the usual swag in it. Please replace it so that it can be seen by casual observers.
