Geocache Description:

This BONUS cache can be completed by finding all 3 of the Rosa Hartman caches and jotting down the enclosed numbers. An easy on-off from 95.

The above coordinates take you to the best parking area for all of the Rosa Hartman Caches. This is a very underused 17 acre park. I saw several large deer while developing this series as well as a couple of hawks.

To find the final ammo container filled with lots of kids toys you will need to find the other 3 caches first. In each of the three caches you will find a number. Take the number identified in each of parts one through three and plug it into the coordinates below:

N 41.02.(Part 1)(Part 2)1 W 073.33.(Part 3)(Part 2)(Part 2)

The placement of this cache is quite tricky and will require a bit of scrambling. Probably NOT suitable for really small children. The cache is full of fun stuff for kids - so an adult MUST retrieve if you have very little guys with you. With that said, my 5 year old loved placing this cache - all part of the adventure. Please be sure to replace where you found it.

This could be quite tricky in the summer when the Muggle Factor and tree cover is likely to be high.

This series is intended to be performed in the numbered order. The series is modeled off of AY Goods Waveney Walkabout Series.

Accuracy was 22.5ft WAAS Enabled.

Good luck, have fun and be safe...

Rosa Hartman Park borders Laddins Rock Sanctuary in Greenwich.

History:
1956 -- the park land was deeded to the city of Stamford by Jesse Hartman, an executive with the First Stanford Corporation. The park is named for his wife.

1980s -- the city decided to close the park. The park morphed into an illegal dumping ground and enclave for homeless people.

1998 -- the city put the park on the bidder's list after declaring the park underutilized.

The Stamford Golf Centre decided to privatize the site. They planned a sports center with restaurant on the site. Thankfully, Greenwich fought the plan (much of this park is wetland). I can't seem to find any more on what has happened, but the park is still there, it is open and has a nice couple of trails in it.

I figured that while we wait for the legal folk to figure this thing out it would make a great location for a series of caches. Enjoy!
