Geocache Description:

This series explores the islands of the Fox River between Geneva and Aurora. Some of these caches may be accessible by foot, some may require wading, others may require a boat. Make sure you're well prepared before attempting these caches.

#8: The Sunken Amphitheatre

These 3,000 year old ruins are some of the last remnants of a lost civilization that once inhabited much of the Fox River valley. In those times, this structure was used as an amphitheater and held about two hundred people. Since then the ground has shifted and the amphitheater is now partially under water.

Cache is between a micro and a small: it's a camouflaged tube 5.5" high and 1" wide and will only hold very small items.
