Biography:
J.D. and his wife, Sheigh, have a son Jack David (2/19/06)...his hometown of Hahira, Ga. has a population of 1,800...has been actively involved in the community during his years with the Dodgers and is also involved in numerous faith-driven organizations in his hometown, where he still resides...has two brothers who were selected the first round of the MLB First Year Player Draft...RHP Tim was drafted out of high school by Cleveland in 1997 to join J.D. as the first-ever brother tandem to be selected in the first round of the same draft...Tim was 2-4 in 35 career ML games with Cleveland, Montreal, and Atlanta from 2000-04...SS Stephen was drafted by Arizona in 2004 after also starring at Florida State...Stephen made his ML debut in 2006, hitting .316 with five homers and 23 RBI in 59 games with the Diamondbacks.
