On July 28, 2002, Adams County dedicated this Memorial to members of our county that served our nation in wars as far back as World War I. An inscription on the monument reads:
“THIS MONUMENT IS DEDICATED TO THOSE VETERANS WHO MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE AND GAVE THEIR TODAYS FOR OUR TOMORROWS.”
This serves as a reminder that the freedoms we have today came at a cost. Thanks goes out to all men and women who have served or are currently putting their lives on the line to give us what we have today.
