Welcome to Cox Hall Creek WMA.

12/2009: A local activist lobbied to have the country club and some of the other buildings that were on this old golf course turned into a nature education center. For awhile, it seemed that this dream was going to come true. Buildings that outlived their former use, rather than wasting away or being demolished, would help others to understand and appreciate a space now retaken by nature.

4/2011: The Country Club has been demolished. Sad that the education center won't happen. But at least the space will soon be retaken by nature, and no one will ever be able to tell it was here...

3/27/12: The release of 500 trout into Flynn's Pond in this Cape May area marked the formal dedication of the Cox Hall Creek (formerly Villas) Wildlife Management Area by the state Department of Environmental Protection Tuesday.
