Geocache Description:

NOW DEPARTING PLATFORM ONE

Perfect for a days outing on the bike or the car for those less physically inclined [:)].

The cache is a 400ml clip-top container with a logbook, pen and some goodies.

This historic railway station was first put into use on 17th October 1890 when the first passenger train arrived to a grand welcoming. It was used for over 90 years to transport tobacco, hops and timber until the closure of this part of the railway line on 30th November 1983. The station is now a museum.

To find this cache you do not need to go into the museum, but it’s worth a look if you have the time. Beware of muggles!

Please do not put rubbish in the cache, either swap for something of equal value or don't leave anything at all. Thank you!
