This series of caches are placed to bring you to the St Helens
Canal (or Sankey Navigation).
This is the second of two multi caches with info that takes you
to a final Traditional. This is number 6.
"In water" two years before the Bridgewater Canal, the St Helens
Navigation was built to transport coal and was partly responsible
for the growth of all the towns along its length.
The published coordinates are for an AGI (in gas speak), Above
Ground Installation and there's an emergency phone number, note it
down.....
You should have parked at the suggested location for Blackbrook
Basin behind the Ship Inn on Blackbrook Road (see the waypoint for
parking). There is also a Rangers Centre there too that's well
worth a visit if you go when it's open.
Northings are 53 27.xxx and Westings that are 2 42.yyy. Where xxx
is the middle group of three of the phone number removed from
691.
yyy is the last group of three minus 988.
DON'T FORGET THE NUMBERS !!!
This area gets overgrown and can be a hangout for kids so be
