Hebron, Connecticut has several old schoolhouses dating from 1725 to 1828. None of the schoolhouses have been used as classrooms for many years but several older individuals still remember attending classes at these schools. This geocache will take you on a trip around Hebron so that you can see and learn about four of these old schoolhouses. Also, there is a final geocache.
In order to find the final geocache you will have to gather information and make calculations. Follow the steps below:
1. Go to the posted coordinates above. They will take you to the Gilead Hill School House built around 1748. How many windows are there (don't forget the back)? This number is X. X + 1 = A.
2. Go to N41* 39.505

This will take you to the Gull School House. What is the date on the placque? Second digit from the left = B. And B-1 = C.
3. Go to N41* 39.495

This is the Center School built in 1828. It is currently an American Legion Post. What is the post number. First digit on the right = D.
4. Go to N41* 38.281
W072* 23.287
This is the Burrows Hill School House. What is the date on the placque on the school house? Third digit from the left = E. And, E-1 = F.
