Dub v Dubinnom má minimálne 800 rokov. Ide o dub letný a je najstarším stromom na území Slovenska. Jeho vek sa už nedá presne urcit, pretože je bútlavý a najstaršia cast stromu je nenávratne stratená.
Prvá písomná zmienka o Dubinnom je z roku 1327, ale je isté, že dedina je omnoho staršia. Podla ústneho podania bola založená na okraji prastarého dubového lesa medzi rieckami Topla a Cerninka v 12.-13.storocí.
Prví obyvatelia si vybrali statný dub ako strom posvätný, rokovací, zasadací, prísažný a súdny. Obyvatelia obce si svoj strom pocas stárocí chránili pred pokusmi o jeho znicenie, dokonca ho v 15. storocí vykúpili od bratríckych vojsk.
Jeho súcasná výška je 25 metrov (m), priemer koruny mal pred orezaním starých a zoschnutých konárov 20 m, obvod kmena pri zemi 12,33 m a v prsnej výške 7,33 m.

The oak in Dubinné is at least 800 years old. It is a common oak and it is the oldest tree in Slovakia. Its age could not be dated accurately because it is hollow and the oldest part of it is irretrievably lost.
The first written record about Dubinné is dated to 1327, but it is unquestionable that the village is much older. By tradition the village was found on the edge of old oak forest between rivers Topla and Cerninka in 12th or 13th century.
The first residents selected robust oak as sacred, council, oath and judgment tree. The inhabitants of the village protected their tree within centuries against attempts of its damage, actually their redeemed it from „Bratrici“ soldiery in 15th century.
Nowadays its height is 25 m, tree-top diameter was 20 m before cutting of old and dead limbs, its circumference is 12.33 m at ground level and 7.33 m at breast level.
