Geocache Description:

This side of Franklin Gulf Park didn’t have any caches so I went exploring and found a couple of nice spots not far off the trails. In the wintertime the snowmobilers mark and use these trails so, be sure to stay alert. During the hunting seasons wear orange, there are a couple of tree stands in sight. Be sure to have either the trailhead or parking coordinates in your GPSr.

The parking area has room for two vehicles. I have permission from the property owner to use the path leading from the parking area to the trailhead. Please be respectful of the property on either side of the path. You may want to keep an eye on the younger ones as they may want to wander off to one side of the path, you’ll see why when you get there.
The path is marked by telephone poles that have been cut down to about 3 ft. There is one rather large deep puddle in the middle of the path so staying to the left side is your best bet. Even though it was snow covered, I managed to find it. Both the path and the trails can be quite muddy after a good rain or when the snow melts. During the summer months the bushwhacking should be minimal as the cache is not far off the trail.

You are looking for a 30 cal ammo can. It should be winter accessible unless there is a substantial snowfall. Keep an eye out for deer, my daughter and I saw a few when we placed the cache. I had to average the coords, if they're off let me know and I'll updat them. Happy caching.

The FTF goes to the frozen and now fingerless Strol.
