Geocache Description:

Just a nice easy regular cache plus a little hike and some thick brush!

At first I was going to say this cache is placed on private property with permission of the property owner, but technically that is not true. The cache is technically on county property, but you have to cross private property to get to it and you have permission to do that. The private property you have permission to cross is the un-mowed open field to the west of the cache. You do not have permission to cross the mowed property to the south or to use the office buildings parking lot to the south. If anyone questions you, have them call me or my attorney (see GC181FR for my attorney’s name, number and general likeness).

This is a nice little piece of woods in what is quickly becoming a well developed area. When I placed the cache, I came across several deer trails and a hawk was circling overhead. The woods are interesting and my prediction is that it will be here for a long time.

The county purchased this property in anticipation of one day adding an interchange to I-475 and Maumee Western. According to the county (and this story changes each time you ask them) the interchange will be added after upgrading the Salisbury/Dussel interchange (this project will start in the spring of 2008), widening I-475 to six lanes (they have to widen every over pass first so you do the math here), and upgrading Maumee Western to four lanes (it will be the new route to the airport). In short, I will be impressed if I ever see an interchange here in my life time.

Now for the name, the name of the cache is “NMSI takes a coffee break”. If anyone can e-mail me the reason for “NMSI”, they will receive extra credit in the form of a pat on the back. Please do not log the answer, but logging bizarre guesses is encouraged, for the Count this means artistic freedom. The reason for “coffee break” is that some local cacher could find this on his coffee break.

The container is an 8” x 5” x 4” lock-n-lock. It contains some swag, some TB’s and a FTF Prize of a $10 gift card (I hope it is still good) for an orange store where you could purchase cache sundries.

Happy Hunting and Happy New Year!!!
