Lone Pine, TeMata Peak.
A visit to Hawkes Bay just would not be complete without a visit to the top of Temata Peak. From this point you have uninterupted views from the Sea across the Heretaunga Plains to the Ranges beyond.
Lone Pine, TeMata Peak is a memorial planting in remberence of those who served at Gallipoli 1914-1916. I believe the Pine Tree was planted sometime in the early 1920's
Visit early in the mornings or later in the evenings to view magnificant sunrises and sunsets over Hawkes Bay or stay until dark to see the lights of Napier and Hastings glow in the darkness.
If you have time and you like walking or mountain biking there are numerous Tracks and Trails to explore.
N.B.
This cache has been plundered several times now and as a result I have moved its location approximately 50 meters.
