Geocache Description:

This will take you on an artistic jaunt mostly around the Greymouth town area, loking at various sculptural and painted artworks. The actual cache is a 800ml green painted sistema. Terrain would be 1 apart from the last 10 metres or so to the final.

One day each March Greymouth celebrates its local artists with an event called “Art in the Park” which takes place in Dixon Park.. This cache celebrates the number of sculptures and murals that are visible to us ‘out of the park’ every day! Your very best geocaching observation skills many be needed at some locations, so look carefully - you have been warned!!!!

This is probably best walked, cycled or jogged. Is possible by car, but many of the waypoints are difficult to park by. So walk anyway!! It will give you more time to appreciate the artworks. It would take an hour to an hour & a half, including getting back to the beginning to get your vehicle, if you walk.

The given co-ordinates are those for the first waypoint. Below just a suggested order to do them in, and there are endless options of where to park and routes between the different points so I will leave you to your own devices to figure those out if you need to. The final cache is nearer to the waypoints at the end of the list. The council has been working on tidying up this area, so it is a bit rough at present.
